I don't like the fit of the eagle to the hilt. Such a poor fit would not have passed final inspection, IMO.

I don't see any traces of a replaced eagle,but in a close up range,many eagles looks like this in question.Imo.

The eagle is totally fine & not replaced, magnified macro photos make it look worse than it really is to the human eye .

Dagger itself looks OK. I see no problems with eagle fitting, blade may be was polished or over cleaned. But feets don't reflects dagger condition.
