    Unmarked heer dagger

I need some help on this unmarked dagger. I find the golden toned rings around the scarrab and the eagel head a bit strange.

Is it an original one or a fake piece.

    Thanks

All parts look original to me. I have seen these golden colored bands before likely they had plating at one time that has gone to time. Now did all the parts come together originally? Let’s see what some of the other army collectors say.

Thanks so far for the info if all parts came together i dont know maybe some others can tell.

Is this dagger also linked to a maker? all info is welcome

Is that a so called milkstone grip or am I wrong?

              Regards, Wim

Wim looks like it to me I call them Goliath the crossguard is a Pack but finished by Holler so it’s attributed to Holler. Those bands going from a foggy memory seems I have seen them on a few Horster daggers?

Thanks for the info on this so the scarab could be replaced. Well i think that happens more often with daggers i assume.

The blade and overal condition of the dagger are in good shape. Now see if i can work out a deal

I have no firm information thats a Horster scabbard the finish on the guard is gone but if the rest matches then thats a good sign hard to tell sometimes from digital pictures.

Looks like Holler's version of a Pack guard (as Tom said), with a WKC type pommel (Holler had rounded bands going around the base of the pommel). Galilith grip and cant tell if there is a single rear flush mounted screw on that scabbard?? Kevin.
