K98 bayonet with very few markings

It seems unmarked on the scabbard and only serial on the blade and 2 waffenamt.

As the bayonet is marked with serial number, the opposite ricasso should be stamped too, but sometimes it could be very weakly, unfortunally the blade was heavy sharpened and shortened on tip, the scabbard could have a stamps under frog and when not so it could be a blanko or spare scabbard, from the WaA519 i would tip to 1943 Solingen production.

Maybe they forgot to stamp on this piece the maker code, anyway its serialed to normal range, it could be compared on existing series. The scabbard could have some stamps too, minimum the serial number, as the piece is not blanko commercial due to the serial number and WaA acceptance.

The WaA 519 was used by A. Coppel kode fnj in 1942-44 som of the 44 have no makers mark.

When the grips are ok or proper, it could be certainly a Coppel GmbH, but not 1944 more real is 1942/43.

                  84/98 bayonet

Good original 84/98 German bayonet agree with all posts no maker code but not commercial due to Ampts and SN as already stated you don't run across many like this and I consider it pretty rare George Wheeler in his book SeitenGewher I don't think even has one like it posted. timothy
