    Early Alcoso Pioneer bayonet

I picked up this in the grouping from a vet's family, I just want to make sure this is a true pioneer bayonet. Thank you
    regards RD

Its a extra SG84/98 in the form of combat bayonet, has nothing with pioneer units, but this nomenclature was added by US collectors probably on some etches dedicated to pioneer troops on similar bayonet.

Looks like a good one and early by the look of the grips. Cool grouping too, what are the makers on the SA's?? Congrats! Kevin.

                  Rajko,

As Kevin says, the Bakelite looks like the early pattern which goes along with the early Alcoso mark. Very nice looking Pioneer style hilt & a wonderful looking grouping. Well done!
