    Gravity knife info

A friend of mine has had this gravity knife for about 35 years. I am looking to possibly purchase it from him but want to be fair. It is a complete numbers matching knife with un sharpened blade. The only issue was somebody scratched their name and it. I saw a fingerprint in the photo he immediately cleaned it off after I mentioned something to him about it. Thought I would post the pictures, and possibly get some information. Thanks.

I have no idea about current prices but the value is in the blade, which looks very nice. The fact that somebody has put their name on the handle (assuming its a German name) just adds to the historic beauty of the item IMO.

Well, the name in it says Jim. Don't know if there were any Germans named Jim. Would rather have seen helmut, or Bruno, something like that. Oh we'll, it is what it is.

A rather rare variant, Paul Weyersberg "non stainless" blade.
I think the name is of the GI that liberated it...
