This is the first dagger I picked up at the SOS about 30 minutes in while walking around with my friend Ivan and made the show for me as this crossguard was missing from my collection. Early Voos double oval with nickel plated tapered tang blade. The crossguard is an early generic variety quite difficult to find and usually seen on early daggers by Axt and Plumacher. The guard IMO is a unique type although similar to the Alcoso type-1. The guard is extensively hand enhanced although difficult to tell under the heavy silver plating other examples I have examined show this same trait. Beautifully detailed pommel and early scabbard with the flat head double screws (Alcoso?) The dagger was purchased with a set of early brass based hangers they appear to be original to the dagger Voos certainly made some beautiful early daggers.
