2 RAD Daggers

Hello Guy's,

These two dagges are offered to me and I would like to get some comments on them.
The Hewer maybe will be ok, but the officer's dagger/hewer is completely gilded, I've never seen anything like this before, I have my doubts about it, has something like this been made?

I can post some more photo's, quality isn't better but this is what I've for now.

You need better pics, but just looking at a maker marks, I think both are fake.

I don't like them either myself. I don't have better pictures but I will leave them were they are. The details are very soft on the leaders example from these pic's.

Hi Jim,

I have never heard of a gilded RAD Officer's sidearm...though that doesn't mean that someone like Reichsarbeitsführer Konstantin Hierl or some other senior labor leader didn't receive one as a gift at one point or another. But in that case one would expect to see a personalized engraving on the piece, and also some degree of scuffing or scratching due to normal wear and tear over the years -- and also over the 70+ years after the war. The photos don't seem to show any wear to the gilt work; it looks fairly new, and that's a bad sign! Also, as you mentioned, the details on both pieces look soft to me, too. Hope these thoughts are helpful.
