Kriegsmarine Dagger & DRK "Frankenstein" Hewer

    Hi Everyone,

A friend has asked me to sell these for him. However, it's been a while since I've had anything to do with daggers and I would appreciate some help please: specifically re. valuing them.

The KM is an Eickhorn but not in the best of condition. The felt blade buffer is missing and the blade is quite dull; scabbard etc missing finish.

The DRK hewer is what I can only describe as a Frankenstein example. I suspect the frog is the best thing about it. Its been denazified too.

Anyway, if somebody could give some idea of value (or the lack of it), I would be most grateful.

    Thanks for looking.

    Best,
    Toby.

Dr. Frankenstein's personalised DRK hewer. Note the custom grips and blade.

From what I can see is a slightly denazified pommel, which is reflected in the price. I think that in this condition kriegsmarine 500$ and DRK 200$

                Thanks for the further comments.

Do you think the blade to the DRK is original then? Not the standard type though.

Considering all the "embellishments" to the hewer, I think it very likely the tip was pointed by someone post 1945. Also not the first time I've seen such a point on a DRK hewer but I don't think any of them were period done.

I agree on $500 give or take on the Navy(and I don't see the damage to the pommel?), the DRK is even lower in my opinion..$100(no parts in good shape!) Kevin.
