Interesting TIGER Heer Army dagger with odd scabbard

Hi Folks,

Just picked this up from the brother of the vet and when I first saw it I loved the patina on the crossguard and pommel. Then I noticed the scabbard.. not an early german silver that youd think when with the dagger. Loose fit and weak details (see pics).

I know that a Heer TIGER is kinda rare.. just curious on the scabbard. Just want to know the "real deal" if I decide to trade it down the road. The only real issue I see on the dagger is a chip missing on the grip and needs a good cleaning.. (blade)
