Beautiful blued blade, looks to be German made by Knecht? Just a guess here but cross guard shape looks Polish? Kevin.

Maximilian I of Bavaria (1806 to 1825)? It looks like a very nice sword with an exceptional amount of the fire blued and gilt blade (and handle) remaining. FP

              Fine looking sword

The maker: Peter Wilhelm Knecht, Solingen 1770 - 1825 or Peter Knecht 1825 - 1850

Does anyone know what kind of value this sword has as I’m looking to sell it? I also thank all who gave their time and effort to research this sword. I’m greatly appreciative. Thanks
