Hitler Youth Leader Dagger

Had these heavily nicotined and dinged daggers come into the show today. Owner played pirate and had sword fights with them. The HJ dagger is a strange one, the leather straps on hangers has been replaced by Political gorget links, but clips might be original. The scabbard has no leather and there is loss of detail to the engraving on the rings, the RZM 7/36 is centered on the flat of the blade, so what do we have here guys?

I like the whole thing lock,stock and barrel. I would not change a thing and leave it alone. It may have came out of the III reich that way.???????

I would like to see the upper hanger fitting, given that and the condition of the items, it is obvious that the leather was lost due to storage and probably the leather portion of the original hanger.
The gorget chain is a definate vet add on IMO. This was never used this way during the TR period.

interesting hanger clips without oak leaves? Like the look of the HJL but wonder how the leather would have fit under those scabbard fittings? Tight fit! Lets see some pics of the SA, or NSKK? too please! Kevin.

HJ Hangers

Leather does not go under the scabbard bands, just up to the fitting. No oak leaves on HJ Leader's Hangers.
