I don't agree as the stitching pattern is not used on a dress frog. I believe this is pre-WW2 Luft.

No, this is NOT a official service frog for the Luftwaffe. Were you get this totaly wrong infrmation?
Were are the rivets?? the gain side is outside!! Were are the maker stamp? Were are teh Luftwaffe aceptance LBA ??
The type of frogs are explaind in the Luftaffendienstvorschrift (L.Dv.) 422 Teil A, ( i think you read it...are were else you got your Informations)
Here are the service typs without loop:

This is a dress frog for a dress bayonet. The combination is correct.
To the Informations from the L.Dv. 422 the color is "havannabraun". The colour was ordered for seniro NCO and officers.
So this is a dress combination for a NCO upwards Feldwebel and for Officers.

Opinions/Views are not facts and irrelevant argumentation replaced know kien. Without that, it is quite negligent to decide on something

While the frog has the same cut and stitching line down the back as a seen on combat frogs for S84/98 bayonets, it lacks the typical reinforcing rivets. IMO I think yours was made for a dress bayonet. Here's one with a similar profile and stitching and lacking rivets. The bayonet also has a looser fit like yours.Attached Files

If I’ve got the facts lined up correctly, the Luftwaffe officially came into existence in 1935, and there are 1935 dated Luftwaffe service bayonet frogs with rivets and the LBA markings as I believe was previously stated. With what looks like smooth leather (and the possibility of colors changing some with exposure). And the long line of central stitching on the back piece as seen on German Police frogs (albeit with rivets) - so could this be a dress version for one of them? FP

The first frogs of the "secret" Luftwaffe cams in 1934. The have a security loop and rivets and washers out of cooper.
In 1935 they introduce the 2 standard models. One with the color schokoladenbraun with and one version without a security loop. The gain side is inside... and the flesh side is laqued and outside. For the officers there were orderd the same frog but in the color havannabraun.
The first rivets still were made out of cooper but chance soon in Aluminium.

I know of a way to help stop the cracking and stretching of the leather just above the scabbard lugg that sticks through the frog.Dont keep taking the frogs off of the scabbards.
I can never understand why people take the frogs off to take pictures as it stretches and cracks the leather. Its a bit like taking the leather liner out of a helmet.Crazy imo.
Even if the frog doesnt belong on the scabbard, if it came back with the vet like that, then leave it as is.
