this bajonet is a good 2ww, but for me the eagle is a replacement no good on this model! i have not a good feeling also on the leather, the unit marks look strike on the guard!

I agree with Patrick, the eagle looks like a replacement. Originally this bayonet would have had the stubby-winged type grip eagle but this is a later produced type.

The replacement eagle itself looks OK, just not original. Not sure if it was replaced in the period or not, does it appear to be glued in place?
