You have a complete hanger with belt loop and grip strap.

Nothing strange about it. It's so called 3-piece hanger. It has retainer loop mounted on the belt loop, that's it.

Salut Didier, here´s a period photo of such a 3-piece hanger in wear

Though not every SA or SS hanger is a three piece hanger. I have seen period photos of two piece hangers (perhaps they were earlier)? Daggers hanging at around a 45 degree angle from the belt loop. Anyone who has tried to walk around with a two piece hanger though, can see why the three piece would be preferable. They swing around and hit everything!
