Please could I get some opinions on this Boker. I was told that the black you can see on the handle and in the crevices of the eagle etc, are from it being painted black by the veteran who brought it back. Thanks everyone, Guy.

Nice looking Boker . As you stated , it appears someone applied some shoe polish or something on the grip . Maybe to cover some scratches ? Bummer . Still a very collectible dagger IMO .Comment
