SS Runic M36

Hello all,

Could I please get some opinions and help on this M36. There is some damage to the chain, as on of the connecting links is missing, I was told due to it being pulled off an SS Officer. Anyway I would really appreciate your combined knowledge on this as I have been offered it. Thanks, Guy.

SS M36 with Runic Chain

As I said the chain is missing a link....

I dont see any problems here . Typical later production characteristics . Not uncommon for these links to separate . They come up for sale once in a while . Looks like a nice blade .

The dagger is an original piece, no doubts about that. It may be a very hard time to find an original link. Since it's just a piece of nickel plated piece of steel sheet, it is easy to duplicate part. In my opinion it's better to repair it that way than to leave the chain apart (it looks totally crippled).
