    Ss dagger mini in silver

This is new to me , ive seen the threads on the minis and so called salesman sample and i really cannot give opinions on those . Today i purchased these two items from the widow of the vet . The dagger is Silver and is 6 9 /16 long. The motto is of high quality . it is all fixed and cannot be taken apart . I know it is odd and does not fit any other example i can find thus far but i consider this a period piece . Opinions are welcome pro and con .

          mini

I pulled out the Wittmann book on ss daggers and looked at this chapter on the Mini daggers ect....This is not to be found anywhere in the book or on the Net . I am pos. this was brought back with other items i purchased yesterday . It is also worth mentioning that the woman told be he had an ss dagger at one point but he gave it away years ago . I do not know what the purpose of this item is but i can tell you it is unmarked and it is silver . It is funny how the Motto is really nice but the eagle and runes are poorer in artistic quality . This is a clue to the maker IMO . Jeweler or blade engraver or both ?

I have the identical dagger bought from my ads in the late 1970s.

These generally get the benefit of the doubt in the market as I remember. Not big money but probably original.

                        John,

Yours is the second one have ever seen. The other is mine.

I am familiar with the type with stamped in I eagle, on the grip, but have never believed they were original.

                        I like type we have.

                          Note

Its interesting how often these pop up now. I had a mini one but it was a SA version and definitely a jewlers copy but I have never seen one like the one posted here and I find it even more intriguing that the books and other references dont mention these mini daggers?? May I ask where you found it?
