    Dress bayonet question

I recently aquired this in a lot of AAC memoribilia from the estate of a P-47 mechanic who served in the ETO.
It appears to be a stock standard Army dress bayonet but I don't recognize the knot and wonder if the green wool backing material on the frog is a standard feature.
I am not an edged weapons collector and no longer collect anything TR.
    TIA,
    Garth

I can't tell you a lot buti can tell you the felt on the frog is ok. I have one just like it same color frog same length everything. So that's good to go for sure as far as the knot you would have to look up the colors and match it to a unit. Don't think it's the generic nco knot so it must be a certain unit color pattern just don't know what unit it is.

    Sending you a pm

It is a standard NCO Troddel and would normally be found on a short bayonet rather than a long one according to practice.
