Glass Cook Top cleaner for your dagger?

Ok..I wouldnt have believed it myself looking at the ingredients of this stuff, but the cleaner that you buy to clean your delicate glass top cookers/ovens is a non-scratch/non abrasive cleaner that really cleans your cook top.......
    well....I had an idea
I took one of my oldest and not really a key piece of my bayonet collection and I cleaned the steel portions of the Bayonet (not the blade YET) and I wish I had a before and after shot of this bayonet. It cleaned it without hardly any effort and I mean it cleaned it and didnt touch the finish or do anyting but bring this old bayonet back to life almost as the day it was issued!!!

Has anyone else done this or heard of using this particular cleaner??

Have you got an after photo? also how have you prevented any risidual cleaner you applied remaining and slowly eating in to the metal work?

That is a good question. Depending what PH is that cleaner, but most of them should be neutralizes with opposite PH.
