If you wanted just one of these I doubt you could do much better than this, a truly beautiful example and rarely found in this condition on a dagger so late in the period.

This is an ugly piece and I don't think you'll be happy with it, just send it to Canada and I will give you whatever you paid for.

Kidding aside Sam, this is an absolutely stunning piece and it will be impossible to ever upgrade such a dagger, no wonder why you couldn't resist, I would have done exactly the same thing.

Saw some of them patinated completly black and some heavy "motteled" but this is right between!
Great looking dagger in awesome condition. I suppose the base metal is the later used so called "pot metall"?

You’re correct about the pot-metal that was used on those mid period pieces.
I guess it’s pretty rare to see any original factory lacquer at all left on those.
