1st pattern Luft scabbard question

I bought a nice 1st pattern Luft dagger but it had a stripped (no chain and no leather etc.) scabbard. I had another scabbard that matches it but when the blade goes in I can hear a little scraping -- so can I switch out the throats on the scabbards or did different manufactures make slightley different widths?

Different manufadturers used different parts and sizes, to a minor and sometimes major degree. IF you don't have a large parts base to chose from, nothing matches easily. This is why parts pieces are an easy spot on the market from collectors who think they are all interchangeable. They are not.
One area that is slightly easier is with SA RZM Daggers. These are fairly the same among manufacturers. Not always interchangeable, but your odds are better. Early SAs are an entirely different story. They can have variations from the same manufacturer and same time period.
