    SA Maker mark

A friend ( not the same of the red paint ) wants sell me one very good looking SA dagger with maker mark F. HERDERAS. He wants $ 1000. It's a good price? It's expensive or cheap? How much is an honest price to pay for that?
    Regards,
    Otto

Hi Otto, I think the makers mark will be "F. Herder". The price is far too high! A standard SA dagger would be worth less than half of that. Unless there is something very special about the dagger....

    Cheers, Ade.

      Hi Ade,

I have only a photocopy of the dagger. The courious I think ( if I can see well on the photocopy ) it's F.HERDERAS marked and above have 2 crossed keys.
      Regards,
      Otto

I have in my collection of factory advertising material a small, point-of-purchase advertising sign from the Herder firm. It reads. "Friedrich Herder A. Sn", which I think translates to "Friedrich Herder and Son".

This is a recognized producer of SA daggers, but I'll have to agree with Ade...unless there's something we're missing here, the price is much too high.

        Hope that helps,

Here is a photo of the M.M. on my Herder SA
Sorry about the colour , it was taken in the conservatory which gives all photos a blue tinge.

                Hi Les,

Because the bad fotocopy I read Herderas and not Herder a.s.
                Thanks,
                Otto
