Looks like the Eickhorn presentation NPEA in Ron Weinand's book. Any provenance or source info with it?

I had to dig out my book to find it but Ron's example appears on pages 173 & 174 of Ron's book Waffenleite Presenting NPEA Daggers of the 3R. This dagger is a chained leader with correct Eickhorn scabbard & Ron's example is a student's dagger with frog lug scabbard. Both appear to have the same Eickhorn style motto with Eickhorn '35-'41 maker's mark on the obverse & dedication by Bensberg NPEA Anstaltleiter Holthoff on the reverse.

If period, would be valuable. As I mentioned earlier, any provenance as to where the dagger came from or from whom would help in terms of value too.

Only the second one I have ever heard of or seen (not the greatest photos). Also, it appears to be later than mine as it has an aluminum grip eagle and somewhat later plated fittings.
From the photos, it appears to be a good one, so get ready for the offers. It would be important to know the tang markings (if not experienced in dis-assembly don't do this).
It could be that this dagger was presented yearly or semi-annually-we don't know, so there could be variations, but Holthoff died at sometime during the TR as I remember from research so don't know how many he would have commissioned during his leadership at Bensberg.
