    Army Officer Sword; Opinions sought

    Hello to the Forum,

Here are the only two photos of this sword that I have. I've owned a few of these but don't know what makes one special and what does not. This one is marked Eickhorn and it has the original scabbard; although the paint is somewhat worn.

What do i have and what is the approximate value?

    Thanks,

    Manufacturer's assume Carl Eickhorn?
Can you put more detailed pictures?

    Sincerely respect

Eickhorn Field Marshal series sword, later Wrangel pattern with dove-head pommel. Most of these later swords were aluminum or pot metal based and gilded. Some were brass based on therefore most desirable.

Lakeside trader nailed it exactly. I would think the retail price range would be $400 - $600 depending on condition.

Or less, swords seem to have hit a stand still and seem impossible to move...
