    SS Double contract.

Very interesting version of the late production. This dagger before cleaning was discussed on GD, but unfortunately the thread already in archive. Interesting to note, that the double contracts was on HJ daggers too. Now this dagger after cleaning from the rust. Opinions are interesting.

This was no cleaning, this was killing the personality of the dagger. With the rust you took his soul away.

    ...this is only my opinion...

But probably I saved the blade ? Maybe some years and the rust would destroy this dagger at all.

No, if you just oiled it and left it this way, the dagger would have stayed like this for centuries.

Yes I meant this discussion. If not a secret why you don't like this TM?
You have serious arguments or it`s only emotional perception?
All parameters of the blade correspond to the period`s original.

Hard to say if the blade is good or not. But it depends also from the condition.
I've seen a few of them in the past(Always artificially aged, imo.) But i would like to see one of these in good, excellent or mint condition.
But i believe eg 121 ,1051,1052,53... etc is a contract number. This means various companys had produced these blades/daggers under one contract number. Perhaps your blade too.Hard to judge, because the condition is very rough.
These RZM codings are a big mystery!

                    Regards,

To clean or not to clean? a subject that we seemingly have covered enough times in the past...I would rather have owned this in its original and salty state.

On GD Dave Hohaus showed the same TM with the double contract. His blade looks as in very good condition, near mint.
Yes, unfortunately we have`t a lot of reliable information about the late production period (possible cooperation between makers).
I think nuances and parameters of manufacturing must determine authenticity and the double contract shouldn't be a major factor in this question.
