                      I`m not sure it it means anything because in Ron`s book there are pictures of Eick NPEAs with the twe screw scabbard, but both of the ones that I have (the same 42 mark and a 35-41 seated squirrel mark) are in single screw scabbards.

                            anything else I can check thru disassembly, i.e., if the runners or scabbard are brass, forge marks inside the guards, blade tang mark? seems there was at least some latitude with these...

                              It would be nice if Ron W chimed in on this one.

                              The TM looks a little too close to the crossguard to me.

                              Dave, I want it to be right, but boy, I am not certain on this one.
