Opinion on Luft Blade 1st Model

Hi Folks,

I need opinion on this 1st Model blade that has no maker mark. There is an Luft Eagle on one side and a verse "Als Anerkennung fur heldenhaften Einsatz" The etching is too crisp/sharp....(i.e. Laser) I believe BAD but...need confirmation.

Opinion on Luft Blade 1st Model

I purchased the 1st Model Luft dagger in Germany in an Antique shop with a story that I didn't believe. I already have a replacement blade...but I'd like comments on this. I think too crisp/new..laser etched. Thank you,

I was under the impression that up to now all those etched LW blades with the 'Voos eagle' were originals. It would be a bomb shell for many collectors if some of these would turn out to be fake. This would be a good time for some of the blade experts to chime in.

That blade looks much better quality then any other fake etched blade that I saw. But I am not an expert on etched blades.

WOW...if this is good...WOW..I'm surprized. I have another thread where I posted another etched blade but on a 2nd Model Luft....I think it's bad.

I would like to know if this is bad...or good. Thank you,

I'm far from any etch expert, however when I see that dull grey type 'frosting' it just reminds me of stuff I see on post-war junk. I really don't like the rest of it either. I doubt you'll find anyone here who will say 'it's good'. -Sorry- But it's JMO.

OK...that's what I thought .....BAD. What about the other 2nd Model etched blade? Is it also bad??? Thanks,
