Well . . . if THAT doesn't make you sound so ostentatious!

Geez . . . I am not an SA guy by any means, but even I think this one has much more merit than you are willing to offer - do you have another example that has "seen better times" to share with everyone? By your reckoning, such an example would be all the more rare, maybe?

Well, I simply mean it´s rare maker, but not in excellent condition. The blade has been polished, it looks like the crossgrain is mainly gone, the grip is damaged, etc.

Of course I´m happy to share with you and the others some SA or NSKK daggers that are made by rare makers, but are in much better condition than this example shown here.

Here´s for example one .. Hugo Servatius ... enjoy

For me as a SA & NSKK dagger collector the most important part is the blade. This is how I like it ... full crossgrain and just runner marks visible. Enjoy

@ N.C. Wyeth ... I hope you can understand now why I was so "ostentatious" as you call it .... all rare makers in much better condition ... if you want to see more, just let me know

Sure, as you say, it is a "rare maker" - but if you're going to knock another guy's dagger, come out to brag, and then not match, what value does the brag really have?

All kidding aside, I really must give you credit for having compiled a nice selection - good job, and very nice!

P.S. I bet some day you'll be back (sooner or later?), and you'll pop a nice Schlieper on us . . . I can feel the challenge eating away at you as I write this!
