    My new piece...

Very Impressive! Can't tell from the photo is it a Damascus blade?
    Ignored Due To Invisibility.

      Snigley:

Thank you for the compliment! The blade is just the plain version one. I wish it's damast though, since the fittings are the same one used for the SS Birthday or presentation degen.

        Sendjaja,

Outstanding sword...I'm more impressed with the document, though. Those are really tough to get. Was it a vet purchase or did it come from a dealer?

        Congratulations! ! !

          For Skip

          Hi Skip:

Thank you for the compliment! It's been my long dream to have these two special items together in my collection. I feel proud of them. The document was purhcased from the Schuberth's family, who was an Oberführer in the SS and a ranking officer in the RAD, by Peter von Lukacs of Sweden. It's unfortunate though that Herr Scuberth's SS degen did not survive the war. The document was actually part of the grouping which included SS Honour ring, the document and other items. Unfortunately I only had enough fund to purchase his Ehrendegen's document. I believe Peter still has some of Schuberth's SS promotion letters for sale on his web site. I enclosed more shots of the document which has also received blessing from the master himself, Don Boyle. PS: Also notice the jagged edged around the document which is very rare to find on this rare Urkunde.

As for the degen, the most magnificent part of it is the high quality ferrule as the hilt fittings and benchmark numbering on the crossguard's underside. I asked both Toms and this was the first time they've ever seen it on a Krbes degen. I posted a thread about this on the GDC forum:

          SS Officer Degen by Krebs

          Cheers,

Full Röhm SA Dagger by Eickhorn

            Another piece from my collection...

            No benchmark or Gau stamp

            Original anodisation

Notice the golden hue patina on the crossguards & scabbard's fittings

Unfortunately, blade has been buffed and the Eickhorn logo suffers the most from this, as evident in the photo!

            Cheers!

            S.D.
