    Heer Officer Dagger: maker?

    Hello

Last week i got a nachlass from a Leutnant that served in 118. Jägerdivision.
He became an officer end 1944 / beginning 45.

Since there is no maker mark on the dagger, i would like to know if you guys know who the maker was.

I don't know anything about daggers so i'm curious to know the value for such a dagger.

Can someone help me with my questions please?

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards

Thank you very much for the information guys. Much appreciated.

Is there a specific reason why they didn't mark the late war daggers?

          Best regards

Could have been sold through a distributor. Another possibility is that is was sold by another maker who purchased dagger components from Eickhorn.
Since the dagger has trolon grips, silver plated scabbard and hilt fittings I would think it is midperiod rather than late production.

Yes, exactly my opinion and I would also add that the eickhorn type III is a mid period x guard that was used for a very short time & is not very commonly encountered.

              Nice dagger!
