Ss dagger blade not marked, good or not good ?

Dear Members,

I picked this dagger up in a collection about 10 years ago.

It had no scabbard or a makers mark on the blade ?

Could it be an officers dagger without the chained scabbard, or it looks like the blade was ground ?

Could it be a parts dagger and what do you think about the lettering and the
inscription, genuine ?

Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your comments.

The handle and the top parts of the dagger, I believe are genuine.

The blade is a reproduction it appears according to the comments.

What makes you all think that the handle etc are not original ?

I have two original SS daggers and this dagger handle looks very similar.

Maybe it looks similar to the other daggers in your possesion, but unfortuantely it looks very different than genuine SS handle. Poor fits everywhere. Bad executed grip. There is light brown wood showing up from under the paint - the original grips were deep stained black. I can only agree with the others:
