Is this a Police NCO sword knot? It just turned up and was too nice to let get away.

It is for a Police bayonet. The strap is larger for a sword.

I agree with Alain, it looks to be for a Police bayonet. Sword knots seem to have larger bulbs. Nicely conditioned!

They could be used for nco and officers swords too. I bought an officers sword out of the woodwork from a vets son with the smaller knot attached.
