Need opinions on Cased Government Dagger...

I have an opportunity to buy this nice cased dagger, assuming its authentic. I know these were heavily faked so I'd like to get some opinions from the forum.

Thanks guys! I feel like an idiot for not at least seeing the "Berlin" in the makers mark. That's why I post these things on the forum!
