    SA Wehrmannschaft Dagger

Hi folks. First post here. My woman and I are active collectors of many genre's of history. We both have a fascination for WWII since we both had relatives in the war. Here is a dagger from my woman's military knife colletion. She picked it up at a flea market in Houston. The dealer was unsure if it was authentic. It is a SA Wehrmannschaft dagger. We believe it to be original and not a reproduction by several features. Besides the aged look of the metal and the coloring. A close inspection of the letters look to be hand engraved and not acid etched. It is hard to find detailed information on the Wehrmannschaft. Any information and opinions will be appreciated.

We know some basics on the Wehrmannschaft and where Senne was located but I haven't been able to find anything about when or why this may have been given out.

    Hello,

    Welcome to WAF.

That looks like an authentic M33 SA dagger. The Wehrmannschaft (SA Home Guard) inscription may or may not be period applied.

    Regards,
    Stu
