    SS-dagger, transitional

SS dagger RZM with nickel-silver eagle. Transitional dagger, belongs to a friend of mine. Expert opinions most welcome.

The scabbard shell has most likely been redone on this one as you would not expect to see an anodized shell with this combination of dagger.

I could be wrong of course but the combination of the dagger and the scabbard doesn't seem to fit the timeline for me.

Thanks for your comments, JR. I understand your scepticism, but he thing is, anodized scabbards were used on early transitionals of this type. Later on, painted scabbards followed. I guess this was a matter of production-economical philosophy.

THE Dagger is EXACTLY as it should be !!!
WKC is the only maker that used anodized scabbards on late daggers!
There is nothing wrong with it.
              A very nice untouched dagger.
              Congrats....

Nice lookin' piece, but I too thought it was more traditional for a painted scabbard to accompany these

Please understand that I'm NOT trying to be overly critical but would you please provide the source for this information. WKC using anodized scabbards for late production daggers is certainly news to me and perhaps others viewing this thread.
Anyway that is a beautiful example.

                      Jim,
                      zozole is right!
They had used both, anodized and painted, scabbards with plated fittings for their RZM's .
