The bayonet would be ok, unfortunally someone overhauled it, is a late war riveted piece, the blade looks like sharpened and polished over the rough finish and probably could blued, unfortunally the originall phosphated finish is gone.The missmatched scabbard is probably too cleaned. It would be desirable piece, but in this condition probably the value is decreased heavily.

I think that the bayonet was used in the Balkans or Spain,post War,Definitely...

Bayonet is pitting after rust, but someone poilshed Honed handle ..
