I would say its an old copy,the etched motto is not crisp and is 'peppery',bad fitting eagle and originals do not have leather washer pads,for an old copy in the Uk a dealer would charge about £50 which is close to your $100 bucks.Originals now around about £900 to over a £1000 at the moment for a 1933 SS dagger.John

I was under the impression that prices have been going down for the past 2 years or so due to the worlds economic crisis, there are some bargains to be had if you know what your looking at...... I purchased a near mint Spitzer over 2 years ago for £1000 which i thought was a good price even in todays market.
Anyhow regarding what is wrong with the dagger in question (which is everything, x guards, blade and grip) if you compare it to a real one you will notice many differences.
This is JMO guys
