Not that I favor Eban's "complaint" system whereby higher end items usually get pulled & then unsuspecting sellers get lowballed, but it works in this type of circumstance.
I've noticed these auctions sometimes get pulled by Eban, with no explanation as per their usual modus operandi. But I suspect it's because some good soul (or several?) out there is ratting these items out in an attempt to get them pulled. Same seller using 3 accounts with the same wares. This guy is worse than that woman in England hawking those Paki knots since these daggers are going $800+ a pop. Not that I'm endorsing using Eban's complaint policy but in some cases it's good when outright postwar items like these get pulled

This is a useful thread, thanks for exposing these fakes. Billy G is correct in identifying the 3 eBay IDs as belonging to the same seller. I took a chance recently and bought a set on Navy Hangers form Porschezelt, from the pics they look good, correct construction and fitting, very convincing
The hanger fittings are heavier than aluminium, not as heavy as brass and seem to have a copper flashing or base, probably over a potmetal of sorts. The straps are nylon and even have melted sections and thread, but are pretty good copies. Clearly these hangers and daggers are fooling many buyers judging from the amount of these the seller is producing, so BEWARE!
I only saw this thread after receiving the hangers, but they are very clearly fake, and the seller is moving many of these, as well as Reichsmarine and Imperial Navy daggers, several of these every month, usually Eickhorn or Alcoso marked!
This seller's multiple identities and the characteristics of these fakes should perhaps be pinned to warn new collectors...

Some of the sellers ads under different identities, he doesn't even bother taking new pics of hangers, uses the same pics for hanger sales, he must be selling lots of these

I think you should nail the seller with a scathing feedback since it seems nearly all are stellar. If he got a few more bad ones maybe people would think twice about buying his stuff.
I agree that it's very good to highlight items that are clearly postwar & their sellers. Had this guy hawked 1 or 2, I don't think many would have taken note but it seems every couple of weeks there's a new crop of crap out there. I also have no doubt this guy shills his own stuff to fan the flames of excitement to the unsuspecting.
He used to snap pictures of the daggers on the same hardwood floor with all 3 seller IDs which is what initially alerted me that there was a connection, that in addition to having the same modern daggers for sale.
I spoke recently with a member of GD who bought one of these Eickhorn examples. He honestly had no idea it was bunk until I alerted him. Upon contacting the seller, he was told there was never any mention of originality or period of production. How's that for impudence? Between these daggers & the fake hangers that are sold every few weeks, this guy has been cleaning up & flooding the market with his wares.Comment

Billy G, very well spotted, at least we know how how he works now. I will post feedback, but having 3 eBay IDs he will most likely focus more on the other 2 "clean" IDs... He told me he created the 3 IDs for when one of his accounts got suspended by eBay for selling TR items.
I'd be interested in knowing how he puts this stuff together, it's pretty well done, but thankfully he's making key mistakes. I wonder if his location in Solingen has given him access to old stock, tooling, etc.

It may be worth alerting other Forums as he appears to produce a lot of these daggers and hangers, cut from the same cloth as our friend/syndicate Pawel Nowak...

I doubt there is any period accouterments or pieces used to sell any of his goods ! He knows exactly what he's doing . I noticed his stuff awhile back and saw it was iffy to say the least. I've been exposed to several navy collections that are very advanced. I have several friends nearby that have around 150 pieces to hold in hand and inspect. I too was a navy dagger guy but I just can't keep everything. He prays on those who may not be that sharp on certain areas.

Good points, I think the guy concentrates on sucking in either newer collectors or those that may be too trusting. Honestly his pics might pass muster to some not focussing on the details they should be.
From what the guy I spoke with said, the dagger was heavy & well made which only helped to calm his fears the dagger was modern, until I spoke with him & it all came crashing down. Fortunately he was returning the dagger & supposed to get his funds back but we'll see if it actually works out.

I don't know if the guy is actually in Solingen or not but I'd be skeptical he is. One of his accounts, "animalundertaker" is listed hailing from Spain which we all know is not true. This in itself is a reason to get his auctions kicked as he's misrepresenting his location. Sadly Eban isn't allowing auctions to be pulled if they're counterfeit, just if they're "offensive". So typical of them. Interestingly, the most recent pair of auctions, an Eick & an Alcoso KM daggers were both pulled at the last minute
