The grip emblem looks like it has been replaced. No blade motto is fine if it's a later production knife, is there a makers mark?

thank you for your coment could it be that the Emblem is just hevely worn?
If it is replaced, is the emblem original in your opinion?

        Here for the Maker:

        A.W.G.B.

        Figure a Night

        Solingen

GES,GES,CHL.TZT the last 3 are hard to read could be IZI ?

If the emblem is original, it should be enamelled, this looks to be missing and someone has daubed paint (or something) in there.

I'm not sure if we'd see the motto from these pictures. No ricasso means there should be a motto... it is possible that it has been sharpened off... since the condition of the blade doesn't look all that great.

              Better pictures would be helpful!

Leather strap on the scabbard does not look right IMO. You need better pics of the whole knife and scabbard.

Daimond hj insignia looks very much like a hj cap badge, does it have movement???

Scabbard looks post war type thats is usually stamped made in Germany on the leather strap.

i would hold out for a better knife.

Think it might be a frankin-knife?

                    Perhaps put together by someone.
