    Sa presentation dagger sportschule fÜrth

Submitted for your comments, the only one of its kind I have ever seen. Condition is not good; looks like kids used it as a playtoy. If it’s a fake, I would have expected to see others just like it. Prior to being an SS training school, Fürth was run by the SA.

I have 11 photos I’ll try to post.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Seems to me a fantasy piece artificialy aged, blade's condition don't match grip's appearence. It looks like a modified Rohm blade to me, I don't understand why group mark was cruddely removed from crossguard.

Nothing wrong with this one. Classic Eichorn etching! Very Nice!

Thanks for your assistance; you folks make life a lot easier in trying to sort out the real stuff from the repros.

The damage appears to have been done from scraping it on something (the lines match up); the tip is slightly bent; makes me think that the brain trust playing with it tried to get it to stick in a tree by throwing it really, really hard!

I agree with R.R. in as far as I see evidence of it being a reworked blade, both sides, from probably a Ground Rohm.
However it looks to be a factory done rework. Eickhorn etch panels and lettering as mentioned earlier.

Crossguard filing seems intentional and obviously crude but IMO an original dagger.

If this was reworked, any idea why this is the only kind of its type anyone has seen? Seems like an expensive investment.

Wow bigred that is a rare dagger you have there. I see no problems with it but of course I don't have it in hand and I'm always learning. It is not a Rohm dagger reworked from what I see. It is a factory etched presentation piece. The blade someone has tried to clean up, but from what I see there this is original and quite right.
