Here is a early SA Dagger I just picked up and I wondering if anyone can help with reading this inscribed blade dated 1934 . I did not know if the Stormtroopers name was present in this inscription or was it a possible early SA leader presentation ?? Gift or what ?? Can anyone help out here ..Greatly appreciated . Thank You Brent

Hi Brent,
I think I can partially decipher the inscription:
Laß dich nie beirren !
s.l. ___________ zum 18.5.1934
von seinem Vater
"s.l." is usually the abbreviation for "seinem lieben" ("his dear")
In English the inscription reads:
Let yourself never mislead!
his dear __________ on May 18, 1934
from his father
I´m still puzzling over the remaining words.
Maybe any others can help?
It seems this dagger has been a present of a father to his son, who joined the SA.

Unfortunately there are not many people left who can read the old German handwriting.
- the first capital letter is IMO an "I" ( a "J" should protrude below the line)
- the line above the "u" is missing (see the word "zum" ... it has the line above the "u")
- the word itself is one letter too short for "Junge"

I was thinking about "Ingo Heinz Mayer" and just for fun googled the name
and guess what was the first hit on Google
