Somebody tried to make SA in SS. they painted everything black.

Perhaps just the pics, sometimes these grips are stained very dark. They look pretty good to me.

Look around the SA simbol on the handle. You can see the brown outline, that is what made me believe that it was painted. Because staining would be done before they would put anything into handle. Just IMHO.

Good eye, I see what you are saying around the roundel. From the look of this I suspect that the grip is still period darkened but who knows for sure? We know that some grips were period painted black.

You are talking about SA Marine? I can see that, but it still needs better pics of the SA.
