MASSIVE dagger collection purchased! SS,SA,LUFT,RAD - Help needed!

    Hi all,

I recently purchased a rather large collection of helmets, daggers, bayonets and everything else and am going through it- the collector was quite serious and tried to find good examples of each of everything. Out of the entire collection of blades there were 2 fakes (both hitler youth daggers) which were pointed out to me before the purchase. I am asking if these are all original and what would be a reasonable price to get them appraised at.

I can and will add additional pictures as requested, and I am sure you guys will want many of them!

    I can see:

SS DAGGER marked Meine Ehre Heibt Treue SS 121/34 RZM,
SA DAGGER, with hanger, MARKED aLLES fUR Deutfchland RZ, M7/13
1st pattern flight dagger w/ hanger (marked GESEGESOHY? OLC), dagger marked PUMA Soligen (my favorite! )
kriegs dagger 2nd pattern w/ handle, WTC marked
kriegs dagger 2nd pattern w/ engraving, no handle (any handles guys?), marked ASC
    Luft dagger unmarked
Luft dagger marked, Pual weyersberg co berlin
RAD dagger, marked " RAJD GES. GESCH. CARL EICKHORN SOLINGEN" and "Urbeit adely"
    Red Cross Sawback dagger
Police dagger, scabbard and handle marked "12", blade marked "muhlenfeld. barmen"
    Heer Dagger, Original Eickhorn Solingen
    Japanese naval dagger
Commando Knive fairbairn sykes, marked Sheiffild England, type unidentified.

    Thanks guys!

    Hi Discostu,

the black one is a fine 121

the "brown" stuff looks like nicotine on the nickel silver fittings.

Quite the group... could I see close up pics of the Heer dagger? The Weyersburg Luft is a post war fake I am afraid. The other Luft looks OK so far,can we see close shots of the scabbard on that one? SA looks OK so far, SS looks a bit strange in the grip eagle and surface of the handle, and the markings are usually facing towards the crossguard, not away,I am no SS dagger pro though so wait for more opinions on that one! Please provide closer CLEAR pics of the SA blade and scabbard and others you have not shot close yet.... Look forward to it! Kevin.

Well there you go, a response on the SS while I was typing this!!

Ok, so the general idea is that everything is original spare for the marked Luft dagger, though more pictures of everything are needed?

          SS pics coming soon!

              More pics!

              Hey guys,

Here is the first picture set of many, please let me know if you want any more.

Could anyone give me an idea of the value of the SA or SS? I found an example of the SS 121/34 RZM at $3000, and though its condition was good I still think that may be a tad expensive.

              Thanks!

The wire wrapped around the orange army grip is unique and unusual not factory applied.Seeing your colletion, and whoever you bought the collection from certainly had an eye for nice pieces,I would leave it alone as "period applied.

Army dagger is not a typical configuration as far as being an Eickhorn product. Fittings of hilt are all F.W. Holler made and the scabbard is also the generic type used often by Holler, does the scabbard have a single rear placed small screw holding in the throat? That would religate the Heer to being a parts piece in most collectors minds. I agree with DR DOLCH that this is not factory applied grip wire, and who knows when it came to be. I would estimate the Heers value to be $300 to $400 all things considered in today's market. The Luftwaffe looks nice but is a no maker mark piece(a bit less desirable) and valued around $500 to $600. SA looks very nice and if sold with the three piece hanger a $700 to $750 piece. These values are just my opinion from watching present day selling prices (non-dealer that is) and being sold in the USA. Europe may yield higher prices but shipping and customs are a pain... Look forward to seeing more. Kevin.

...........I kept the pilots dagger as it appealed to me and may end up keeping the Red Cross dagger if no one is interested (as I already have the officers dagger with flag already), maybe I could be in the small group who collects German Red Cross

You need to add prices for e-stand sales

Oh sorry! I didn't know that! Now I gotta figure out prices without being too high or too low, if anyone had an idea it would help

The SS and SA were sold ,the others I have kept for myself including the Pilots dagger, as I had no idea of its value.
