    Unidentified Bayonet

    Good day Gentlemen

I am puzzled by this bayonet. Is it Police? I don't recognise the makers marks. The scabbard is painted and that looks period but may not be.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    James

      Hello

It is a Polish WZ 28 bayonet made in 1928 for the "Krabinek wzor 29".

      Regards

Its a nice piece as the Wz.28 was used only for few years. great and very valuable piece, now on market.

This is the frog that came with it. Is it correct?

There is a date on the back - 1935 I think as well as another much larger stamp which you can see in the photo. I can't make it out.

              the frog "in wear"

To me it looks as though it has been there for many years but is it correct?

              Many thanks

                Good bayonet.

The frog looks German to me rather than Polish.

                Regards

                Richie
