I am planning on buying the Walther Wenck sword on e-stand currently.I do not speak or read German.Am I missing anything or any concerns on the sword.I like it but open to any and all thoughts timrzorro@aol.com

The piece is nice but without definite proof of provenance but rather supporting evidence. If the sword had attributable provenance I believe it would be very desirable indeed & command a significantly higher price. Your call really.
I have what I believe to be a big name piece with both initial and last name but unfortunately to date I only have circumstantial supporting information. It makes a big difference.

I have researched these type of pieces before and also researched many medal bars and ribbon bars. If you read the post on this sword you will see the proof. Wenck is the only officers in the company who could have owned this sword. If someone is looking for a family member to step forward and say the sword was my daddy's, it is not going to happen and it is not needed.
