Hard to tell from the pictures need a little more info i.e. any maker marks also type of metal grip is made of, Originals were alu with gilt fakes are solid metal. If its period the prices would be very good, makes one think.

    Regards

As Gauost said accepted originals usually have aluminium hilt fittings. The picture indicates the maker is probably Clemen u. Jung. Their TM should be double stamped; two line name and address on one side of blade and their Z in a shield logo on the other side of the blade.

The price, if an original, is competitive. Visit the Johnson Reference Books site to see an original prison officials sabre (similar to justice, but in gilt finish) by Clemen u. Jung priced at $2695 USD.

Thank you, I have seen the website of Johnson.

            it's a WKC.

the clemen und jung has little difference (German swords, Johnson, P.743)

This is not a WKC sword. And, yes these swords have been reproduced.

                  sword

                  the seller says :

1 / This is a WKC sword - crowned head and helmet logo on the name concealed by the eagle on the outside of the guard
2 / heavy brass fittings, finely chopped
                  3 / sleeve length with 84 cm
4 / lacquered iron sheath WITHOUT FAULT !!!!! (No shine or trace of paint or suspect relaquage)
5 / wear the eagle due to internal friction seen in particular in laurel wreath and the bust of an eagle - EXCELLENT PATINA AND HOMOGENEOUS LOGICAL!
6 / Attaching the blade visible on the top of the head of the eagle - which is normal since only EICKHORN hide this fixation

                  What do you think ?

                  best regards

If this sword has a WKC blade and a brass hilt it is most likely a fake. The hilt is an Eickhorn style 1728 / 1763 hilt. It is nothing like the WKC Nr. 1047 Justiz- / Strafansaltsbeamte sword hilt made by WKC. BTW, if it is gilt is not a Justiz sword but a Stafansaltsbeamte sword. So the description is completely off the wall.

These swords have been reproduced with heavy brass hilts for years and I saw one from Praha, Czech Republic just a few months ago.

                      Thank you Schupo !

sorry, I'm agree, it's not a justiz sword.

Are you sure about the hilt ?

in the Johnson's book (german sword of third reich), I read that it's similar as Eickhorn style.

I'm not a specialist, I trust you... but I must be sure to stop the sell.

                      other opinions ?
