A lot of red flags on this one IMHO, blade, motto, maker's mark, crossguards, scabbard. The list goes on & on. Don't waste your money.

Look, buddy, the link is posted in my EVERY post as it's my signature, it's NOT related to your NPEA topic, OK? It's very hard to understand what you mean in your "google translator" English, but if I'm not a "true connoisseur" for you, ask Ron Weinand (I guess you're more or less oriented who he is).

              Bad NPEA

I don't know where to begin on this dagger. There are so many things wrong I won't even try to describe the errors, but it is totally a bad reproduction. TM is wrong, guards are incorrect, fonts in the lettering is wrong, etc. . Suggest you buy my book "Waffenleite presenting NPEA Daggers fo the Third Reich" to better understand these daggers.

Yes, really a bad fake. I'm sure they will improve with time however.

The large photos are done by linking to an outside server. Problem is, once removed form the server, they will not be on this thread...

                        Hi Joseph,

Thomas Johnson's book "German Daggers of World War II" pages 467 - 497 has many good photos of the NPEA Dagger. The one thing that stands out to me on your dagger is the etching on the upper cross guard. It looks like the engraver took three passes at engraving the data. However, on all the original daggers the engraver did the job in one pass on an arch. I hope this information helps...

                        Regards,
                        Don_
