SA mottos

Out of over 300 SA firms that manufactured daggers, there were just a handful that darkened their blade motto's like this Heller that just recently came in. When unpolished you can spot these across the room at a show because they stick out like no other SA blade that I know of.

I agree JR . The Heller motto is among my favorites . Gorgeous blade ! Another anomoly Ive noticed is that this makers scabbards , from my observation , usually seem to be oxidized more than normal , such as the one you posted. I guess it could be due to storage issues , but it seems like most of the ones Ive seen are significantly oxidised. JMO.

Very nice one JR.! It seems like you had to get out of Solingen to get a nice dark motto on these, isn't it?? This is a Kober, Suhl made SA I have.... Kevin.
