    Max Gazette

If you guys have unwanted copies of past Max Gazettes, I'll gladly take them off your hands. I only have vol.X & XI and would like to have past copies which have some great articles that interest me. Thanks!

    Hi Sendjaja,

I am the editor of the MAX Gazette and have at least one copy of each back issue (except maybe one or two that came out when Maura Kelerchian was still editor). Let me know if there are specific articles you are interested in and I'll see what I can do.

In addition, Tom Johnson and Tom Wittmann both maintain files of back-issues (I usually send them 50-60 copies each of each issue to send out as sample copies) you might check with them as well.

    Good to hear from you!

        Hi Skip:
Long time no hear! How you been! Here is the list of several articles that I'd like to read:

        2) Black & Blue (Or Purple, or...)-Railway Dagger Grip Colour by Rich Newallis Jr.
        3) Heinrich Himmler/Dachau Concentration Camp Presentation Photo Album by Don Boyle
        4) Himmler-Presented SS Honour Swords Created by Paul Müller by Barry Brown.
        5) History of Wewelsburg Castle by Don Boyle
        6) Karl Maria Willigut Weisthor SS Honour Ring Designer by Don Boyle
        7) Rare, Unpublished, Gandwritten Letter from Heinrich Himmler to Phillip Bouhler Concerning Early NSDAP Affairs by Don Boyle
        8) The Pittsburgh Connection-SS Brigadeführer Karl Pflomm Sword by Barry Brown.
        9) Olympic Ring and Fencing Brooch Presented to Reinhard Heydrich by Reichsportminister Hans von Tschammer und Osten by Don Boyle
        10) The Researching and Tracking of an Unpublished, Hand-Signed and Dedicated Hoffmann Photograph of Heinrich Himmler by Don Boyle
        11) SS Officer's Degen by Tom Wittmann
        12) SS Presentation Heinrich Himmler Cufflinks Made by the Gahr Co. by Don Boyle
        13) SS Röhm Honour Daggers by Herder by Gailen David

I'll email JRB inquiring for these past issues. I've asked DEB to send me all older copies they have when I started my subscription, but she only sent me last year. I guess they have run out of copies.

          Sendjaja,

Good news...I have issues featuring all the articles you need except the one on Karl Weisthor (it's in Volume 5, No. 1)

I have made copies and will get them off to you on Monday if you'll e-mail me (skipgreenwade@hotmail.com) with your address.

          Bob,

I have one of your cards, but can't seem to lay my hands on it at the moment. If you'll e-mail me with your mailing address I'll send you the back issues I have duplicates of (six issues in all)

Best to all - have a great weekend!

Skip: Just want to say thank you for the articles you sent me. I've re-read them all and they were great. Wasn't aware that A.H. was presented with an SS Degen by RFSS Heini until I read Barry Brown's write up. Any rough idea on who owns it now? I also knew about the Karl Wolff's B-day degen from reading "Selling Hitler", I was hoping someone in the hobby would pick up on that and get a lead on it. Man, this B-day degen is my favourite, been crazy about it since started collecting. Oh, I almost bought that SS degen from The Old Brigade that was mentioned in the article, "The Pittsburgh's Connection by Mr. Brown, but too bad it felt through. Anyway, many thanks again for the copies and looking forward to read many more great articles in the Max Gazettes to come! Cheers, Sendjaja.

                  Sendjaja,

Glad you got the articles and that they were of such interest. I am working on the July issue today and hope to have it back from the printer & in the mail by 1 July.

As an aside, I am always looking for articles and information for the Gazette. I encourage any of the Forum members who feel so inclined to work up an article about a great find, your favorite collectible, historical information - anything really, and send to me via e-mail or by US Mail to:
                  19207 Ramsey Road
                  Crosby, Texas 77532

                  Thanks...have a great weekend!
