Gentlemen,
I want to share my humble collection of Reichswehr and Wehrmacht bayonets with you. For the record (and for the search engines): there are two Weyersberg und Kirschbaum (W.u.K.) bayonets. It took me three years to find the first one (Pionier unit marked), and four months later (at the last Ciney show) I bought the other one (infantry unit marked) for... 50 euros! The guy who sold it thought it was a commercial bayonet...
There is a W.u.K. of 1927 and one of 1928. The infantry marked one has an incorrect mounted frog and Faustriemen, which will be changed. There is a S/240 (Herder) of 1935 ('G') and a S/177 (Pack) of 1937. Two of them are Coppel made, both in 1938, but one has 'red' and one has 'black' grips. Also a 'cvl' (Eickhorn) of 1941 and a 'cof' (Weyersberg) of 1943. All have matching numbers but the two W.u.K. ones, because these are never numbered...
Greetings,
Lucius
